“any pedometer advice? I really want one to measure distance, stride, calories, etc. I got one for free from itunes for my iphone but it doesn’t work and before I invest $1.99 for another non-working app, or worse, $more for an actually ped, I figured I would ask some runners.”
I’ve been using Runkeeper, which isn’t perfect, but I’m wondering if expecting perfection from a pedometer-type app is just folly. Anyone have any suggestions?

As a fun option, have you looked at FitBit?

Map My Run is good and has an iphone app, which is not always reliable. I also like Nike+ and have friends that swear by Garmin as well.

My suggestion? If you find an iPhone app that works, don’t use it anywhere near a playground: gawker.com/5526004

I recommend Nike+, which seems to work well for me.
