So I posted this photo of Robyn here because 1) she is my spirit animal, and 2) she looks amazing in a green jumpsuit.

And also because I put a song of hers on this new running mix that I just put together.

As I think most of you know, I was diagnosed with a stress fracture at the end of September, and it’s only been in the last couple weeks that I’ve even been allowed to do run-walks. [I interrupt this post to say: If you are running and you feel pain, PLEASE STOP. My stress fracture got worse because I ran on it for more than 6 weeks after I started feeling pain.]

Today I ran at the gym and for the first 15-20 minutes on the treadmill, even though I was only doing a run-walk (I do 3-4 minutes running, 1 minute walking) I was getting shin splints. But then around the 26 minute mark I started feeling better, and by 31 minutes, I was feeling awesome. I ran the whole way to 40 and I remembered why I had started to love running in the first place.

So in celebration, and because it’s a new year and etc. etc., I made a running mix of some songs that you might not typically think of as running music. Track list is below; you can download it here.
